This is a photograph of Andy Warhol. He was shot by Valerie Solanas, a militant feminist who was mad because Warhhol reneged on a deal to film the play she had written. Warhol underwent five hours of surgery the remove the bullets and repair his stomach.

 

 

 

 


My brother Dustin Brown had a rare childhood cancer called Wilm's Tumor. During his treatment he had surgery to remove his left kidney.
